Question 1

Is a VPN required to use IPTV in the US and Canada?

Accepted Answer

A VPN is not mandatory, but using an encrypted VPN prevents ISP bandwidth throttling during high-traffic live sports events. Many US and Canadian ISPs actively throttle streaming traffic during peak hours. A VPN with DNS leak protection ensures consistent stream quality, especially during NFL, NBA, and NHL live games.

Question 2

How do I install IPTV on Amazon Firestick using Downloader?

Accepted Answer

Enter the app shortcode or direct APK URL into the Downloader app, allow installation from unknown sources in your Firestick settings, launch the player app (TiviMate, IPTV Smarters, or XCIPTV), and enter your Xtream Codes API login credentials (server URL, username, password) provided in your welcome email.

Question 3

What internet speed is required for 4K and FHD IPTV streams?

Accepted Answer

A steady connection of at least 15 Mbps per stream is recommended for High Definition (1080p FHD) and 30 Mbps or higher per stream for 4K Ultra HD streaming. For multi-screen setups, multiply the per-stream requirement by the number of simultaneous streams. A wired Ethernet connection is always preferred over Wi-Fi for stable IPTV playback.

Question 4

Can I use my IPTV subscription on multiple screens simultaneously?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Kemo IPTV offers multi-room plans supporting 2, 3, or 4 simultaneous streams under a single account. Plans start at $74.99 for 6 months on 2 screens and $139.99 for 6 months on 4 screens, a good fit for households with several TVs.

Question 5

What is the difference between Xtream Codes API and M3U Playlists?

Accepted Answer

Xtream Codes API uses a username, password, and server URL for automated EPG (Electronic Program Guide) loading and organized VOD categories — it updates automatically and supports catch-up TV. M3U is a single static text file URL listing raw stream links; it requires manual refresh to update and lacks automatic EPG integration. Xtream Codes is recommended for the best IPTV experience.

Question 6

Why does IPTV buffer and how do I fix server lag?

Accepted Answer

Buffering is usually caused by ISP throttling, Wi-Fi congestion, or outdated player app caches. It can be fixed by switching to a wired Ethernet connection, increasing your player app's buffer size (set to 10-15 seconds in TiviMate), clearing the app cache, enabling a VPN, or contacting your IPTV provider to switch to an alternative server endpoint.

Question 7

Does Kemo IPTV offer a free trial before purchasing?

Accepted Answer

Yes, a free trial line is available upon request to test channel stability, EPG data accuracy, and stream quality on your specific device. Request your trial through our free trial page by providing your name, email, and device type. No payment information is required for the trial.
